ATR WINS MULTI-MILLION POUND ON AND OFFSHORE CONTRACT WITH APACHE CORP

International equipment specialist ATR has won a major contract with Apache Corp to deliver technology for on and offshore operations in the UKCS North Sea, worth an initial £2.25m.

ATR, the Aberdeen-headquartered oilfield service provider, will supply portable lifting equipment and rigging lofts to Apache across eight of its assets in the region on a three-year contract, which could rise to £3.75m if extended for a further two years.

Chief executive, Keith Moorhouse, said the deal was a significant piece of new business highlighting the strength of ATR's offering to major energy operators, as it pushes forward an ambitious growth strategy in UK and international waters.

ATR recently added non-executive chairman Bob Forbes to its board and appointed Dave McKendrick as sales and marketing director to accelerate its growth strategy following £20m of investment and its first acquisition earlier in 2012.

"Apache Corp is a major name in the energy sector and this contract further emphasises the success we are achieving in terms of growth across our service offering in on and offshore equipment solutions," says Keith Moorhouse.

"Supplying high specification equipment including portable lifting technology and rigging lofts is a key business area for us, and a service which we provide across our global operations from our Aberdeen HQ to our new base in Great Yarmouth and our long established site in Baku."

ATR has invested more than £3million in its equipment fleet this year, with a focus on equipment vital to exploration and production operations offshore.
It is the market leader in the rental of specialised tools and equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry maintenance market, operating throughout the North Sea and UKCS, and the Caspian region.
