SKILLS SCOTLAND

On the 3rd November, the ATR Group exhibited at this year’s Skills Scotland event at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre. Skills Scotland is highly inspirational, free to visit, careers and skills event for young people.

The event in Aberdeen brought together over 35 exhibitors including employers, colleges, universities, training providers and industry advisers with 2,500 visitors.

Our HR team were there to provide careers guidance and advice to Scotland’s 14 – 19 year-olds. Information about the range of potential opportunities, such as the apprenticeships that are available within the group and the Oil & Gas industry were discussed, along with important advice about what employers look for in a CV or interview.

The visitors were also invited to participate in a company related quiz for the chance of winning an IPAD. The lucky winner was 16 year old Cameron Moore, who attends Oldmachar Academy in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the stand, their interesting questions and the high level of participation in the quiz throughout the day.
